With Christopher Luxon now the next New Zealand Prime Minister and a majority about to be formed in Parliament via a coalition with the Act Party and its very inspiring speaker and leader, David Seymour, there is little doubt that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
New Zealand First may jump on this bandwagon too and why wouldn’t they?
With Labour and the Greens having plummeted in the results, the dream, or rather, cauchemar, of their coalition has been rightly thrown under a bus.
The country is quite clearly crying out for an end to the turmoil that Wokeness brings. Whilst elements of totalitarianism were certainly shown during the pandemic in New Zealand, fortunately, democracy is about to oust the irrefutable form of idleness and utter distraction.
As for what will happen next, well, Grant Robertson could be about to get the boot after what has been a disastrous contribution to the economy.
Whilst the 39.6 per cent of GDP of debt is sadly not going to disappear as unexpectedly but welcomely as Ardern did, the road to recovery is not nearly as far away as it was only several days ago.
So, now that this country has been put back on the map, why not book a holiday there?
Why not visit some of the great sights of the South Island and why not drink some North Island Pinot Noir, now that you know that your purchase won’t be wasted in support of an unwanted agricultural tax or an overly inflated airfare, instead of a local business?
Why not get stuck into some outdoor sports in Queenstown, instead of watching the madness play out inside of the Beehive from afar?
Flight prices are low, the country’s doors are open, people are smiling and ready to welcome tourism back into the country. The New Zealand Labour Party’s former sakoku-style policy has been trashed by people’s votes and replaced with an air of sense and serenity instead. It seems the country is back in the game and open for business again, so make the most of it!
Whilst Grant Robertson cannot bring down inflation, businesses definitely can and who doesn’t love to support local businesses?
I shall be visiting very soon!
There is nothing like a helpful neighbour in times of distress.
